Suzanne and Wiley travelled to New Zealand all the way from Texas, USA, for their Wanaka Lakeside Elopement.
It was a stunning October day, with a perfectly flat Lake Wanaka all day long. It was only fitting that Suzanne and Wiley had their First Look outside Edgewater Resort. We then drove to Dublin Bay in a 1950’s Citroën Traction for a ceremony on the edge of Lake Wanaka. The pair’s parents also flew from Texas to celebrate the special occasion with them!
After the ceremony, a champagne toast and a few well-earned laughs with family, we captured a few more photos with the stunning lake-view. After capturing some more creative angles using the oversized puddles around, we sought out some shade in a nearby grove of trees. Later on, we headed to Wanaka Station Park to experience spring in it’s best form – freshly blossomed bluebells and bulbs along a tree-lined path. Ahhh, the sound and smell of bliss on your wedding day!
We absolutely loved their attention to detail, with various nods to home, Texas, like Wiley’s leather waistcoat, suede jacket and cowboy hat. Suzanne had a gorgeous gown with a veil and art-deco earrings, along with a bold, colourful and stunning bouquet created by Tracey at Crimson Wedding Flowers.
Congrats Suzanne and Wiley – thanks for the good laughs and great time in Wanaka xx
