Hello there! Mountain Weddings is designed for your New Zealand elopement; a specialist adventure wedding planning team led by Warren, an award-winning wedding photographer. We are a collective of wedding planners and photographers plus a postproduction team – and we’re Kiwi!

Over the years, we’ve became passionate about bringing together the top local suppliers to make sure our couples have the best day possible, while we capture some pretty unique and special photos. We’re here to help create your dream Queenstown elopement or intimate wedding in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.

We are big lovers of light and would love to plan your wedding adventure with the best possible conditions to get those “wow” shots. Most of our weddings take place late in the day and make the most of golden hour.

Warren, our head photographer and mountain expert, has been in the wedding industry since 2005. He’s a family man with two sweet boys and he loves the outdoors. His passion for weddings has taken him to the frozen lochs of Scotland, to the colourful reefs of the Pacific Islands and now, rocky mountain peaks of Queenstown and Wanaka, New Zealand.

Steph, our lead planner, has a wicked eye for details and will keep you in safe, experienced and friendly hands from start to finish. She can also help with your greater wedding plans and styling, if you’re wanting a romantic dinner for two or intimate reception with family.

From each booking, we donate to local charities including the Kea Conservation Trust (the Kea is our treasured but vulnerable alpine parrot) and the Wakatipu Reforestation Trust (replanting native trees and seedlings).

Affiliations & Qualifications

Warren is a qualified & accredited wedding photographer of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography (NZIPP).

Steph has Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing and Management.

We’re also proud members of the Queenstown Wedding Association.

Warren was a volunteer fireman with Kingston Rural Fire for 4 years, and holds an advanced first aid certificate.

Fun fact – Warren was drawn to helicopters when he used to shoot air to air photography for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter from 2005 to 2007 whilst based in Auckland and has flown hundreds of times since then. There’s really no better way to travel! Especially on your wedding day.
