The Humboldts, Glenorchy – Mountain Weddings

The Humboldts are an impressive mountain range to the west of Glenorchy, with views down on the head of Lake Wakatipu – the Dart & Rees river deltas. Snow generally lasts from July through to around November/December and the snowy, glacier-like backdrop is simply stunning in mid-winter with the sun bursting up above us. Again, there are two distinct landing locations: The grassy lower Humboldts or the rockier area with tarns and snow in winter. It’s also an awesome option for a dual landing, paired with locations like Earnslaw Burn or Lake Erskine for a bit more variety in your photos.
