Tran and Thanh travelled from their warm home of Queensland, for their intimate Queenstown wedding on the lakeside with their closest family. We organised the permit for their lakeside ceremony, soon to be followed by a helicopter to a couple of locations nearby and then an intimate dinner. We had some changeable weather on the day which resulted in some misty cloud and drizzle – but it was oh-so-romantic! We had the chance to catch some photos with the rain drops falling down.
Because of the rain, we postponed the helicopter adventure to the following day and the sun definitely came out to party for us. We flew to Bayonet Peaks and Cecil Peak – and our pilot Paul was kind enough to take us to a neat ridgeline on the southern face of Bayonet for some quick pics amongst the golden grass. Paul also found us plenty of snow on Cecil Peak, in a spot we had never ventured before. Tran had a gorgeous fur cape from Mode and Affaire to help keep warm, which looked so beautiful with her gold gown from Rachel Gilbert and against the white snow. We had some pretty epic and dreamy lighting for the three-stop helicopter adventure.
