Justine and Wes call Canada home but decided to celebrate their wedding with a beautiful New Zealand elopement and honeymoon all combined into one. Self-described introverts, a big wedding was never on their bucket list, so after Justine herself proposed (yas!), the research began. With an incredible helicopter elopement, trips to Doubtful Sounds, beautiful walks, loads of delicious cafes and restaurants… We think that’s a pretty epic way to celebrate!
Battling a few flight delays and arriving into Queenstown literally hours before their wedding, Justine and Wes were stoked to be marrying each other and adventuring in the mountains! Some epic moody clouds and a bit of a breeze made for a beautiful backdrop and sweet movement in the layers of Justine’s dress. First, we headed to The Remarkables for a ceremony overlooking the lake and some of those iconic, jaw-dropping moments with two little people and the expansive mountains! Next, we flew over to Cecil Peak for more rugged mountains and some fun checking out the impressive rock formations below the Garden Spur. Donning a hoodie and warming up in the chopper, Justine and Wes signed the paperwork that made it all official.
Congratulations again, Justine and Wes!! We admired your determination to get here and pull everything off, flight cancellations and all! Wishing you all the best for your next adventures together xx
