Lake Quill, Queenstown – Mountain Weddings

Lake Quill is another of our firm favourites – possibly because it is like a rare jewel that can only be reached in near perfect conditions. But when you get out there…it is complete magic, every time. The tranquility is incredible, with a distant rumbling from NZ’s tallest waterfall tumbling over the cliff edge and the cute chirp of curious Kea that are almost guaranteed to say hello at this location. Looking straight down the lake is stunning, with the natural formation of mountains leading your eye to the crest of the waterfall and a distant dome mountain centred within. This is our most remote and un-traversed location so far. It is best to plan your trip with a number of extra days as a buffer, as the West Coast often experiences poor weather.
