Alta Lakes, Wanaka – Mountain Weddings

Alta Lakes is one of our favourite Wanaka locations. Located on Mount Alta, we look out over the Matukituki river and valley. These incredible lakes make for a gorgeous mountain backdrop. There are two distinct locations where we can land: One is the upper terrace overlooking one of the lakes. The other is down at lake level, where the daring can have a whole heap of fun jumping into the river that feeds the mountain’s waterfall. (Pro tip: Bring spare socks and prepare to get wet!)
