Venetia & Arthur travelled from Bermuda, to elope on the slightly cooler mountains of Queenstown. We flew to a bespoke location, which was rather special to everyone – as the northern end of Lake Wakatipu looked amazing in the evening light. It also helped that Venetia & Arthur were staying at the luxurious Blanket Bay lodge, so it was a brisk 5min flight back down to the lodge after they said their vows.
We flew two Squirrel helicopters with Heli Tours, to accommodate Pete & James of Shotover Wedding Films, who recorded the ceremony (we can’t wait to see the vid!), and James was able to record some air-to-ground footage from the second helicopter before he made a departure back to base. It also provided some neat shots showing some scale to the mountains in the distance beyond Glenorchy.
